Algebra Solutions PDF & Video Tutorials: Step-by-Step Answers to All Questions

Follow the step-by step guides with clear explanations to learn how to solve most of #Algebra Past Questions.

What is Algebra?

Algebra is a branch of mathematics that uses symbols, letters, and numbers to represent relationships and solve problems. At its core, algebra is about finding the unknown—whether it’s a missing number in a simple equation or a complex pattern in data. The use of variables (like x or y) allows us to create formulas and equations that represent real-world situations.

Think of algebra as the language of logic and reasoning in mathematics. It's the bridge between basic arithmetic and more advanced mathematical thinking.

In short, algebra teaches how to think critically, analyze problems, and create solutions—skills that are valuable in any walk of life.

Examples of some algebra PAST questions and welled explained solutions for SAT, WASSCE and BECE final students.

Question.1

Find R, if \[5R^2+(22.55)^2=(27.45)^2\] \[5R^2+(22.55)^2=(27.45)^2\]

Step.1

Group like terms together so the 5R square can stand alone \[5R^2=(27.45)^2-(22.55)^2\]

Step.2

Introduce differnt of two squares since the two brackets hve perfect squares. \[=5R^2=(27.45-22.55)(27.45+22.55)\]

Step.3

Simplify \[5R^2=(4.9)(50)\]

Step.4

Divide both sides by 5 \[\frac{5R^2}{5}=\frac{4.9\times50}{5}\]
